As a mature student studying Fine Art at De Montfort University Leicester Jackie has been a fulltime artist since 2011. Specialising in portraiture and the human figure Jackie produces period fine art pieces using traditional techniques employing multi-layered glazing to produce dazzling realistic works. Working in charcoal, graphite and oils Jackie is inspired by the great artists and figure painters; Raphael, Klimt, Zorn to name a few and from studies of renaissance art and impressionism. Jackie’s understanding of colour is extensive, using restricted palettes to create atmospheric portraits reminiscent of the turn of the 20th century.
With clients and collectors on 3 continents, Jackie exhibits in galleries in the UK and online and received The SAA “Best Still Life” for her oil painting.
